having now read through this sea of silt background, i got to say the comparisons to the region south of Varangaria is pretty accurate.
i'll still leave it up to a larger group decision if that's the school's mascot, but i'll definitely canon that there are horrific tales of beasts such as the silt horror, supposedly powerful enough to take down the largest dinosaurs

That latter sentence alone justifies the might of the silt horrors.
