Hello Everyone! I just want to give everyone a chance to start brainstorming characters so I am going to be giving you a brief overview of the next campaign...
Welcome to the Island!
Our heroes are grasping onto a small stone island in the middle of the Great Ocean. Their ship had been attacked by some kind of massive leviathan on their way to the continent of Vah-na-hil-ta. They had been lucky, the leviathan was a massive many tentacled monster who was more interested in the large ship than the people falling off of it. Our Hero’s had been able to grab some debris and somehow drift away.
They drifted for about a day when they came across this moss covered piece of rock. They salvaged what they could and were able to set up a piece of sail as cover from the sun and “shelter” from the rain. A barrel of beer soon became a rain barrel.
They spent better than a month on this little rock, fishing for food, diving for mussels, collecting driftwood, and pacing the small space. The entire island was 20 paces across and 15 paces long. There was a perilous peak on one side that they fashioned into a crude lookout. They were able to keep themselves alive but they were slowly wasting away.
The stormy season had just begun so they were pelted with rain most days. It seemed as if they were going to drown on the land. One bright and thankfully dry morning they saw a sail in the distance. They were able to flag down the ship who rescued them and brought them to The Island. Now the Stormy season has come and they are trapped until the seas calm...
You start with 40 Total XP with a minimum 15 Background points. 22 Attribute points you are not allowed to have an attribute at 1. Level ups will happen every 50 XP. I will be adjusting how much XP to give to everyone each week so early on that might be annoying but will equalize eventually.
This is a medieval world (Swords, bows, shields, etc.). The Island is a prosperous place that is pretty orderly with most people leaning Lawful and Good. Early Black Powder weapons do exist but are illegal on The Island. There is high magic on the Island you shouldn't have much trouble casting there. Humane necromancy is allowed. Most of the Necromancers you will see tend to have animals as their skeletons or zombies since its hard to get someone to "donate" their bodies to science. Only one type of money "Cherry" it's some kind of mix of copper and silver. Value is equal to $1 "A loaf of bread." All Religion is allowed on the island. It cannot be practiced in public though. The Church of the Unitarian is open for everyone to worship their individual gods at. You guys are transients and will not have the same rights as a citizen (You cannot own property and cannot join a guild)
This campaign is designed to last for 6 in game months, you guys can decide to stay longer if you want but you will only have 6 additional months until you are trapped again by the Stormy season.
If you dont want to dig through the UI yourself I'm willing to post up whatever title&caption you want for the section
So after six in game months the campaign is over? Or we can go to the mainland?
After 6 in game months we are done on the island. I will give your characters the option to stay on the island and continue playing or they can continue their current journey. There is no Continental campaign. It is designed to be a shorter campaign.
We never got back around to that captured formian waking up.
Kumo's "testing" with it was pretty basic to say the least. He was just trying to confirm some of the things other folks had said. Verify I cannot communicate with it as a human with speech, as an animal with my beastmastery, or even as if it were fae with my awesome dance moves. If it remains mindlessly hostile I'm okay with just bashing it and moving on. If it displays signs of deeper thoughts and strategy, I might be partial to freeing it to see what it does.
Plus whatever testing and value the others can ascertain or investigate. For Endival, I'd suggest he alchemy up some stink remedies.
Endival would perform tests to see if it reacts in any way to certain words and subjects, like queen and hive and communication. Im looking for micro expressions or regular expressions, or tics or habits or reactions of any type that signifies understanding. Once those tests are done I would work on a neutralizing agent for the smell of certain group members and the formiane. After I get all uses I can I will study its brain, while its alive if possible.
It doesn't seem to react to questions. It will seemingly watch you dance but with very little movement.
Give me some kind of anatomy roll or medical skill to try and abstract sometime useable. He will definitely die if you try to get to his brain.

Honestly I can only really recall a small amount of travel and one fight that was against some puffy floating mage creatures. Ended shortly after that.

Not at all, we went back down because Essay wanted to do some job board jobs. Only played till 730 when it was just me and daryl left. Didnt start till like 4 I think as well.
