The first thought was to cannibalize the Warriors deck, long sacrosanct just b/c of its win record, and see if the Warrior framework could work in Mardu colors.  Surprisingly not, there were too many white must-haves in the warrior tribe.  Both Mardu and Warriors had a human subtheme however, so the potential for crossover/emphasis was palpable.  Looking for humans brought me to the White Devotion deck.  OK so now I can easily cannibalize that one to keep the Human subtheme in both originals, and I can use the White Devotion to reinforce the Warrior subtheme with a better sense of identity.  Although I would finish the new White Warriors second, having these two as seed material made the final product easy to design.  all it lost was some of the bolster mechanics for some powerful devotion abilities.

   Still focused on Mardu however, it increasingly looked like the boros themed cards were the ones that needed booted.  Too much white if i was going to import the new cards i wanted to add, and 6 of those new ones were now anchors.  enter the rats.  I've never had enough rats for even a half a rat deck.  most the black deathtouch ones weren't appropriate over here.  A lot of the newer red ones however, were actually human creatures that created rat tokens.  that was kinda perfect both thematically and to improve swarming offense.  by this point my average CCM was way higher than the original, so extra lands rounded it out. 

And so 3.3 decks have condensed into 2, both of which I think to be significantly better in quality and theme.  imaginative combos ftw

B) Character Immersion - I like to really get into a different person's POV and experience things from a different perspective. GYP
H) Story Immersion - I'm also all about the narrative, but DnD is not just another avenue of storytelling.  Its the best example of story telling, because I get to be directly involved in creating the narrative without the clunky overhead and limited options of choose-your-own adventures. YQP

J) Power Gaming - Give me something to conquer, a challenge.  This doesn't have to be through dice rolling; out-witting NPC's or building plans of world domination and other character goals are just as acceptable. GYQ

K) Like, I can't be bothered to pick the ones that appeal to me the most, but its kind of because of all of the above.  Since DnD potentially includes all of these, that's why it is better than other games which typically only include a couple of them. DP

Browns trade down looked good, for both teams imo

Giants trade up seemed unnecessary, but was kinda cheap at least

Falcons trade up was insane.  Once again the Falcons seem determined to out-crazy the rest of the league with mindblowingly unorthodox "strategy."  They gave up a ton.  They got someone that wasn't even best-available at position.

Most of the picks made a lot of sense.  17 off/def lineman, focusing on big dudes, was orthodox.  Lots of board, solid move, gg; hence exceptions are more the negative exception

Didn't like the Bears taking a TE, although I had no issue with the quality of the player.

Bengals got an edge rusher that I think is going to be great, although with Bengals overall D struggles not sure if it will show lol

Didn't like TB going WR, i think they needed to get into the D game

Ravens got best Safety which is annoying
